Army-Navy Series (785-794)
Crosby created a large number of different cachets for the Army-Navy series of 1936-37. As a former Navy man, his bias toward that service is evident in the fact that relatively few different cachets were created for the Army series while each value of the Navy series had as many as 25 or more different cachets. (Also note the comment at the top of the previous page (Susan B Anthony) regarding varieties of the "Stars" and the "Night View" photos.)

For the stamps in the Navy series, most of Crosby's cachets were created with reference to the Navy personnel pictured on each stamp. Consequently, I have organized these listings in that fashion.
In addition to the covers shown on the pages linked above there is a very unusual, possibly unique, set of covers shown below. They each bear a rubber stamp cachet on the front reading "The Original Crosby Cover Album, San Pedro, California." And each has a rubber-stamp on the back flap reading "W.G. CROSBY." (The envelope on the 1c Army value is sealed so the back stamp can not be illustrated here.) All ten covers are addressed to the same person. These covers are not listed in the Planty Catalog.
Scott #785-794-101 (To avoid confusion with the numbers for this issue, I have begun the numbering at 101 for cachets that are not created for a specific denomination in the Army-Navy series
